The Problem

There are people around us that lack access to resources and/or the ability to obtain and maintain them. We are often talented and capable of inspiring others and strengthening our community. We don’t know what we do not know. At some point, we reach a point in our lives and have to survive or intend to thrive. Many of us never “Get it together” and may need help. Often our minds are affected by trauma, neglect, or denial. Our behaviors are confusing to ourselves and others. In reality, we need help and we may not know the how or why. We should be willing to accept the help that we need and Change The Dreamer creates and manages events to assemble the help for us. While providing live examples of the change we could inspire.

The Solution

Welcome to Change the Dreamer LLC, where our mission is to transform dreams into a new way of living. We are a Community Support organization committed to creating and promoting outreach efforts and events that connect individuals in addiction and recovery with vital community resources. Our events seek to connect appropriate resources addressing health, family, church, recreation, shelter, clothing, transportation, finances, and employment, fostering a comprehensive path to stability.

Our events promote artists and entertainers to create art/content & culture to inspire integrity, self-worth & strengthen the community with power.

Our goal is to facilitate meaningful connections between recovery communities, treatment centers, support groups, and local resources, enhancing the support network available to adult men and women seeking assistance and mental wellness.

Our Founder

Ruben Anthony

A versatile Peer Support Specialist, & Community Support Associate who is skilled in promoting recovery, resilience, and empowerment through lived experience and effective communication.  With experience in event coordination, group facilitation, and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) instruction. Teaching utilizing  Motivational Interviewing Techniques and the Recovery Dynamics Model of Counseling. Has provided  Case Management with a strong focus on recovery, client advocacy, and community support.

Art comes alive when it's shared, and our goal is to create platforms that allow artists to inspire and connect. From local performances to larger events, we strive to bring together communities through art, music, and celebration, providing opportunities for expression and engagement.

Today's artists are often focused on getting that "big break" or securing a record deal, sometimes compromising their message in pursuit of fame. At Change the Dreamer LLC, we do things differently. We provide artists with the opportunity to perform at venues where their music, their words, and their voices matter more than their marketability. Our events are designed to uplift, to connect, and to share stories that represent the real experiences of our communities.

We create events that offer a platform for emerging talent while ensuring that each performance carries a message of positivity, unity, and truth. Whether it's a local open mic night, a community festival, or a gallery showcase, our focus is on bringing artists and audiences together in meaningful ways.
